Education for AMCs

As an AMC, you are responsible to ensure your lender clients maintain compliance with federal laws, rules, regulations and guidelines to which lenders are held accountable by their federal regulators.

One of the greatest risks you, as an AMC, face is the possibility that one of your staff members unintentionally violates Appraiser Independence Requirements through verbal or written communication. Some State AMC registration laws require AMC employees to take a class in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) while others require specified training in appraisal principles, USPAP and/or state laws/rules (regulations).
